With over 60 member clubs, GVR provides countless ways to connect:
- Dedicated club space includes: Computer, Lapidary, Photography, Clay, Ceramics, and Woodworking clubs
- Other clubs include: arts & crafts, music, drama, dancing, travel, card games, and social gatherings
Join clubs centered on shared hobbies or connect with fellow residents from your home state or region
Senior Games
Each spring, GVR hosts the annual Senior Games, drawing nearly 1,000 participants from across 37 U.S. states, Canada, and Mexico. Adults aged 50+ compete in over 30 events during this month-long celebration of healthy competition and community.
Classes, Trips & Tours
GVR offers over 900 classes per year at discounted member rates, including:
- Fitness & exercise
- Arts, crafts & music
- Gardening, landscaping & cooking
- Dance, literature & enrichment courses
Members can also participate in organized tours and day trips to local attractions. Past destinations include Kartchner Caverns, Wilhelm Winery, Biosphere II, Kitt Peak Observatory, and the Tucson Rodeo & Parade. Small fees typically cover transportation, admission, and refreshments.
Arts & Entertainment
GVR’s West Center Auditorium is home to the acclaimed “GVR Live! Performing Arts” series. Performances are open to the public and have recently featured:
- The Second City comedy troupe
- Tucson Symphony Orchestra
- Country music legend Collin Raye
- Members receive ticket discounts and the option for season passes to multiple shows.
